We are a collective of public health professionals with diverse backgrounds and research training, all with a common goal of reducing health disparities and promoting health equity.
Mission: To conduct research and practice that meaningfully contributes to reducing the tobacco-related health inequities we see around us through mutually beneficial research initiatives with community stakeholders and leveraging health communication science approaches.
Main focus: Tobacco-related health disparities. Commercial tobacco use remains the leading cause of preventable disease and death, and importantly, is associated with other health disparities in chronic diseases and cancer.

We use multi-disciplinary approaches to understand and help reduce tobacco-related health disparities. Our work includes community engagement, qualitative (e.g.,focus groups, interviews), quantitative (e.g., survey data), and behavioral experimental approaches.
